Joining the SPEC Graphics and Workstation Performance Group

Who Can Join?

Any company or organization interested in the technical development of GWPG's benchmarks is welcome to become a member of either or both of GWPG's working groups, provided they pay the membership fees, are willing to abide by SPEC's bylaws, GWPG's charter, the fair use guidelines, and the guidelines for handling SPEC-confidential material.

To learn more about the different projects that GWPG is working on, please see the two working groups of GWPG, the Application Performance Characterization (SPECapc^SM) project and the Graphics Performance Characterization (SPECgpc^SM) project.

What are the Benefits of Membership?

Members are entitled to:

• Publish unlimited benchmark results on the SPEC website.
• Participate in all SPECapc and/or SPECgpc technical meetings.
• Access to the individual group released SPEC benchmarks and works in progress.
• Become a member of the SPEC/GWPG, with paid membership to the SPECapc and/or SPECgpc groups.

What are the Membership Fees?

GPC Membership	N/A	$8,000	Application
GWPG Associate*	N/A	$ 500	Application
NOTE: Effective January 1st, 2010, APC and GPC's annual dues will increase by $1000 with no planned increase for Associate dues.

* Nonprofit organizations or educational institutions may qualify as SPEC Associates.

Who do I contact?

If you would like to join SPEC and GWPG, please complete the appropriate membership application form and fax it to 1-540-349-5992, attention: Kathy Powers, or email to info@spec.org. The application will be submitted for board approval, which takes approximately 14 days. When the approval process is completed, you will be notified.

Options for dues payment are by check in U.S. Dollars, by credit card, or by bank transfer.
